100 Club seeking Donations
Chambers County Deputy Shane Detwiler was fatally shot on July 13th in Baytown. The 100 Club announced that donations are being accepted to its "Survivor's Fund" which provides benefits to the dependents of peace officers and firefighters killed in the line of duty. A $10,000 check was given to Deputy Detwiler's family to assist with any needs they may have. Additional financial support will be provided to the family once a review is made by the Club, to include current financial and children's educational needs. If you wish to make contributions, go online to www.the100club.org, or mail to 100 Club Survivor's Fund, 1233 West Loop South, Suite 1250, Houston, TX 77027-9107$100% of the "Survivor's Fund" donations go to the dependents.
Quarterly Luncheon
The General Membership Quarterly Luncheon will be held on Tuesday, September 21st from 11:30 am to 1 pm. Our guest speaker will be State Senator Tommy Williams. Senator Williams will be discussing the 2011 legislative agenda and its impact on small business. Mark your calendar! This will be a very informative event.
