Join the Winnie Area business community for a ribeye steak lunch with Senator Williams. He will speak on the 2011 legislative session and its impact on small business. Senator Williams has recently been appointed chairman of the senate transportation and homeland security committee. Mark your calendar! It will be a very imformative event. 100 Club seeking Donations
Chambers County Deputy Shane Detwiler was fatally shot on July 13th in Baytown. The 100 Club announced that donations are being accepted to its "Survivor's Fund" which provides benefits to the dependents of peace officers and firefighters killed in the line of duty. A $10,000 check was given to Deputy Detwiler's family to assist with any needs they may have. Additional financial support will be provided to the family once a review is made by the Club, to include current financial and children's educational needs.
